If your closet is overflowing with all your precious belongings, then you either have too much or your closet needs to be organized. The best closet organizer is one which will provide you will all the compartments, shelves and storage space that you need to accommodate what you have. Once you have analyzed your storage needs, thrown out what you don’t need and installed a closet organizer, your life will be much simpler and certainly more efficient.

There are no two people alike, they have different things and the closets in their homes are never the same so the best closet organizer is one that recognizes this. The best organizer consists at a minimum of a shoe rack, hanging space and shelving. When there is space available in the closet, there are also bins and boxes that can be used to store seasonal items that do not have to be available at your finger tips. What’s most important is that you can find what you want, when you want it and when you do, it will be ready to wear; not all wrinkled because it fell on the floor.

There are a number of different types of closet organizers; the best for you depends on the type and size of your closet. If you have a reach in closet; that is one thing, if you have a walk in closet that is something else. In both cases there are adjustable and modular organizer components that can accommodate clothing, shoes and personal accessories.

Many reach in closets have double folding doors, this door style eliminates the installation of sliding storage on the sides but it is ideal for floor to ceiling shelves that can accommodate folded clothing or bins which can be lifted out for access. Between the rows of shelves on either side one usually sees double tier rods for hanging clothes. At the bottom, beneath the hanging clothes is a shoe rack which allows for complete organization of shoes and boots. As the doors are bi-fold it is not possible to hang anything from them without interfering with the door mechanism. However, if the doors are swinging, then the inside of the door is an ideal spot for various hangers and small compartments for accessory items.
